(I've highlighted a few of my favorites from him.) His many inventions truly makes him a man of inspiration.

“Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.”

“Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles"

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

“I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance.”

"Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish."

"An iPod, a phone, an internet mobile communicator... these are NOT three separate devices! And we are calling it iPhone! Today Apple is going to reinvent the phone. And here it is. "

"I want to put a ding in the universe."

"Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. "

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. "

"I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life. "

"My model for business is The Beatles. They were four guys who kept each other's kind of negative tendencies in check. They balanced each other and the total was greater than the sum of the parts. That's how I see business: great things in business are never done by one person, they're done by a team of people."

“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

12 Things You Can Do While Unemployed

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 236px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PgEm-mrNC4A/To1VOy_PoQI/AAAAAAAAAJI/TKv2NyKGupI/s320/have%2Bfun.dib" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5660274019368149250" />
No matter what the reason is for having the need to leave your previous job, you will surely encounter the question; what can i do now? for more than 12 times! Much more if your next stint has no assurance of coming round the corner anytime soon. Let me try and help you out by providing you with ideas; a list of things which you can do while you think about the path you will take for your career.

1. Save
This is first on the list. With no salary coming in til who knows when, it is just right to save or tighten your budgets a bit. You still need to support yourself or support others too. To help you out, you may want to make a list of things to buy when you do the groceries, prioritize your needs, sever from your wants til you get back on your feet. Save! Save! Save!

2. Discern
Booted from your previous post or not, to have left the company means that it was not meant for you to stay. You wanted to leave or you were asked to leave makes a little difference but it leaves you with a lot of questions. Where to go? What should you do? What’s next after this? the world is out there for the taking, you have a billion of opportunities to seize but what leaves a mark is picking the right one. So take the time to breathe, think, and pray for guidance. Ask others for their opinions, get some advice; know what’s in your heart. Often, this is the most difficult phase to get through. Know that you have unlimited choices. Do not be overwhelmed by it.

3. Scout for jobs
If you don’t plan to start your own business, get started with your job hunt. The idea of going on a break may seem appealing at first but it wears off fast. So get online, call friends, ask for referrals, keep yourself busy with interviews. Doing so will not take a lot of your time or will keep you from doing the others items found in this list. I’m just suggesting that to get back on the horse fast, do not miss a day for frivolous reasons. There’s a job out there that’s meant for you.

4. Stay in shape
When called for an interview, employers these days now look at the physical appearance of the applicant. It is important to look good and presentable. To help you out, exercise daily and eat a balanced meal. Understand the fact that no one will give you big responsibility if they are not convinced that you can be responsible for yourself. So keep yourself in shape to stay in those good clothes. And when you run into somebody from your past life, at the mall, the grocery, at a restaurant or anywhere else, send them a smile to let them know you’re doing alright.

5. Have fun
You may be unemployed but it’s not a hindrance from having any fun. Invite friends over, watch a movie, sing a song. When you wake up in the morning, do not be devastated of the fact that you have nowhere to go, no salary to expect. Positive thinking goes a long way. Appreciate the small things which you may have missed or have not noticed when you were busy with your job. Spend time with your family, cook your favorite dish, draw, paint, run, or dance. I don’t need to give you a list of what to do, you yourself know the things that will make you happy. So, go ahead, make a list and do each one at a time.

6. Reinvent yourself
You may be tired of how monotonous some things have become. So go ahead, step out that door and try something new. You are moving forward with your life and to have something you’ve never had before, you need to try something new. Dye your hair, improve your wardrobe, start a sport. You don’t have to do all these at once. You can do so, one by one. Do not contradict what was listed at the top of this list.

7. Participate in a bazaar, or have a garage sale
Whether in need for cash or just getting by, you can’t go wrong with selling some of your old items. You can start by separating some of your clothes, your siblings’ or anyone in the family. You may even get together with your friends and make this a project. Come selling day, your booth or your garage will have more than enough items to display. At the end of the day, you can split earnings with everyone. And as a result, you have earned a little to get you further and your garage will now look simpler; cleaner. Think positively, you may now just have enough space to make way for new items you will be bringing in with your earnings for when you get your first job.

8. Get an online job
There are a lot of sceptics when it comes to working online. Others think that online jobs are scams. I don’t have much experience when it comes to taking online surveys, translating documents and clicking ads. I can’t say if they are indeed scams or if the success stories found in the internet are really true. However, i can vouch for blogging for money and teaching English online through Skype. If you choose to enter one of these jobs, your salary will be done through money transfer with Paypal or with your chosen/required ATM account.

9. Keep yourself updated
If you plan to return to the industry that you just left, it is wise to keep yourself updated with the developments in your company or with the key players of your chosen industry. Doing so will help you come up with sound decisions or it may even point you to the right direction where you can land your next job.
Keeping yourself updated with the events outside your industry will also help you out by identifying opportunities for growth in your industry. At the same time, you can make a list of your industry’s strengths and weaknesses which you can bump next to the list of identified opportunities and strengths. This will be a good discussion in your final interview because you can voice out your thoughts and ideas to your possible employer whether you initiated the discussion or if you were asked.

10. Events organizing
While you look for your next adventure in the professional world, you can organize events just to keep the cash from coming in. You may start by throwing a party for your friends like a child’s birthday. If it turns out well and you actually like it, send the word out. You can do so by posting it on any of your social sites. And it may not be long ‘til you start making schedules for your next gigs.

11. Catering services
Whether you have the talent for cooking or not, you can start your own catering services easily. If you do like to cook, start coming up with your own menus for different types of occasions. Once done, know how much you’re pricing your services. You can work with a friend or a close relative on this, too. Partner with a good cook, and let your services be known.

12. Travel
Who says you can’t? As mentioned, you don’t need to contradict what was listed at the top of this list.
